Introduction of agroforestry:

Increasing population has also increased the demand for food in addition to would Timber and fodder. there is a great pressure on forest particularly on these on rural and tribal people who depend on forest to meet their need of fuel. besides these in development activities. like construction ,meaning quiring, river valley, project etc.

Forest cover is losing every year .agroforestry combine forest trees along with food grain, grasses and horticulture crop in different system. it is also alternate land use system for westland development.

🎯Agroforestry definition:

Agroforestry is defined as a sustainable land management system which increases the overall yield of land combined with the production of crop including tree spaces and forest plant and animal simultaneously or sequenciary of the same unit of land and applied management practices that are compatible with the cultural practices of the local population.

It is a system in which agricultural and trees crop of ranging longwity (annual, bineal, perennial) arranged either temporally (crop rotation) or specially (intercropping) to maximize our sustain agriculture yield. It involver mixture of trees or wood perennial in crop or animal production to benefit from the resultant ecological and economic interactions.

Different Agroforestry system:

Agroforestry is the oldest term used by international council of research in agroforestry (ICRAF) in place of farm forestry or social forestry the common agro forest restive in India are as under:

1. Agri silviculture (crop+trees)

2. Silvi pastural (trees+pasture+animal)

3. Agri horticultural (crop+fruitcrop)

4. Agri silvy pastural (crop+ trees+pasture+animal).

5. Agri-horty-silvicultre (crop+fruit tress+multipurpose trees species)

6. Homested agroforestry (multiple combination of various components).

❤👧Agrisilviculture:

The growing of agriculture crops along with forest crops is known as agree silviculture system and comprises of growing of food grain pulses vegetables as interrupt in the forest trees like shrish,  teak wood, Eucalyptus,astralian babhul,Bakan,Anjan etc.

The forest trees are placed in Raw 15 to 20 m in and intercrobe are grown within the space available. Tress spacing depends upon soil type trees, to be grown crop, to be grown land, slope annual rainfall etc.

❤👧 Silvi pastoral:

Improved posture spaces are introduced with spaces grasses or grass legume mixture is grown along with udi perennial simultaneously on the same piece of land .the system has the advantage to provide green food through tree looping tree provide fuel and Timber in the dry season and lean period animal grass on the poster and feed nutrition trees or shrub leaves.

Field crop are grown in the interspace of fruit trees planted at 5 to 7 m apart trees provide fruit food fuel fodder and also give regular income intercroo gives food, food and seasonal return of fruit trees within canopy and high bearing are mostly preferred.

It is a combination of aggre silviculture and silvy pastoral system. under the system, field crop and forest trees are grown to the other up to particular stage but letter on grasses arised in place of field crop in the account space between forest trees.
